Been a while since you went climbing? New to climbing? Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting on the wall.

STEP 1: SIGN A WAIVER

Save time checking in! Fill out your waiver online here. All visitors are required to complete a waiver before climbing, spectating, or participating in other activities at First Ascent – no exceptions. If you are under the age of 18, you must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver.

STEP 2: CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE

Choose one of three options for getting started:

Bouldering Day Pass
Quickest way to get climbing.

We’ll give you a quick facility orientation, then you can enjoy open bouldering. Rental shoes and chalk are available for $7.

Learning To Boulder
Best option for new climbers.

Learn the basics of bouldering safety and technique in this one-hour class. Includes day pass and rental gear. Book in advance to guarantee your spot!
Intro To Climbing
 
A complete introduction.
$75 / $110
Member / Non-Member
Get an in-depth introduction to climbing in this 3-week class. Rental gear and three additional day passes also included.

Come in and our friendly staff will get you all set up. If you booked a class, please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early.

GEAR

Don’t have your own gear? We’ve got you covered. You can rent climbing shoes and a chalk bag at the front desk. Climbing shoes are not required but are recommended.
