Intro to Climbing is a 3-week course designed to teach you the tools every climber needs to enjoy sport climbing and bouldering – all in a relaxed, small-group environment.FA_MembersOnlyNight-125

What you get with Intro to Climbing:

  • 3 two-hour classes over 3 consecutive weeks with an expert instructor, who will teach you the rope skills and climbing techniques you need to jump start your climbing
    • Week 1: Learn the rope skills needed to climb and secure a top rope for your partner
    • Weeks 2 & 3: Discover key techniques like footwork, sequencing, route reading, and more through a series of specially selected boulder problems and routes.
  • 3 Day Passes, so you can come back and practice your skills between classes
  • Rental Gear for each visit, including climbing shoes, harness, and chalk
  • Small group atmosphere that helps you meet other new climbers. Many Intro to Climbing participants meet climbing partners they climb with for years.

Must be 14 years old. Youth under 18 must have a guardian fill out waiver.


Non-members: $140 (includes rental gear for classes and 3 additional Day Passes)

Members: $90

Step 2: Book your class!

Book your class on the schedule below. Please book 24 hours in advance to guarantee your spot and arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled class time to check in. Late arrival may result in the need to reschedule your class. Cancellations within 24 hours are not eligible for refund, only rescheduling.
