What is Basecamp? In a nutshell, Basecamp is our take on group training for movement, strength and conditioning that prepares you for adventure – whatever your adventure may be.

Just like a solid basecamp is key to the success of any mountaineering expedition, a strong functional fitness foundation will help you be ready to tackle whatever adventures lie ahead.

We built First Ascent from the ground up to bring world-class climbing to our local community. When it comes to Basecamp fitness, we partnered with premier fitness coaches to design and build a fitness program from the ground up, offering small group training at a fraction of the cost of personal training or other popular group fitness alternatives.

Approachable. We designed the Basecamp program so people of every background and fitness level can challenge themselves together. Whether it’s your first time trying a group fitness class or you’re 1,000th class, Basecamp will always be a fun and challenging experience.

Communal. Get inspired and motivated by a tight-knit group of people working to reach their fitness goals – together.

Personal. Experience personalized coaching and feedback from expert certified coaches with a track record of excellence in small group training.

Functional. Basecamp coaches will use a mixture of kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, sandbags, medicine balls, barbells, and many more functional tools to produce significant strength, physique, and performance improvements.

Progressive. Basecamp athletes will train under the watchful eye of our expert coaches, who are well-versed in tweaking daily programming to scale with the needs of each Basecamp member, helping you progress at the right pace to attain balanced, full-body fitness for life’s many adventures.

Fun. Boring workouts don’t work – you’ll do them once and never want to do them again. Basecamp coaches amplify your workouts with fun, variety, and intensity. You’ll experience a fresh mix of functional strength and conditioning that offers you new challenges as you improve.

Affordable. Our goal with Basecamp is simple—we take some of the best functional fitness coaches in the city and make them available to our members at a fraction of what their services go for elsewhere.

Pricing

Basecamp is designed to provide you with high quality, personalized coaching for a fraction of the price of 1-on-1 personal training. 

The details:

  • One-hour training sessions meet every weekday – see schedule below for a full list of class times
  • Maximum of 10 people per session so trainers can provide individual coaching and feedback to each person
  • Monthly Basecamp options are for First Ascent members only – check out our Membership options here.
  • Monthly Basecamp is billed on the 1st of each month – cancel Monthly Basecamp enrollment anytime for the next month with written notice prior to the 25th of the current month
